This stylishly decorated lodge has wonderful views toward the Laikipia Plateau and Mt. Kenya. Just on the edge of Samburu National Reserve, Sasaab is nestled into the banks of the Ewaso Nyiro River amid a wilderness abundant with wildlife.
There are nine individually designed Moroccan-inspired tented rooms with canvas and thatching, each offering sensational views across an open verandah and private plunge pool then down the river, over the bush and beyond. Each room is a massive 100 square metres in floor space boasting enormous open air bathrooms and huge comfortable beds.
The common guest area sits on a high rocky ridge allowing one to enjoy the spectacular views through the Moroccan interior and courtyard. A communal swimming pool is perched on the hillside overlooking the river.
Hospitality is impressive here with warm, friendly staff and a strong emphasis on high quality, fresh local produce which ensures excellent cuisine.
Activities include twice daily game drives (including night drives), walking safaris, mountain biking and cultural excursions. Massage and beauty treatments are available in the privacy of your own tent.
Children of all ages are welcome.
