- Nestled on a private reserv
- Eco-chic tented camp
- Authentic camp ideal for families or small groups
Nestled in mopane scrub on white calcrete soils, Andersson’s Camp is situated 4.5 kilometres from Etosha’s Andersson Gate.
The resurrected former famstead that stands on the site now forms the centre of a charming camp fronting onto a very productive waterhole.
There are 20 tented ensuite units raised on decks for an enhanced view of the waterhole and surrounding plains.
The tents are a clever mix of calcrete stone cladding, canvas and wood and are simply yet stylishly furnished and have double-door entrances and a small verandah for uninterrupted views. The ensuite bathrooms feature a uniquely designed open-air private shower (solar heated water). The family units comprise two tents connected by a raised boardwalk.
This model of eco-sensitive lodging provides an authentic, safe, down-to-earth experience for small groups, families and independent travellers to Etosha, and is easily accessible by road.
Many self drive Namibian holiday itineraries include this camp so guests choose whether to pay for activities at camp or not. Activities available include morning and afternoon safari game drives into Etosha, nature walks and night drives on the Ongava Game Reserve.
Children of all ages are welcome.
Weddings / Honeymoons
Ideal if you’re planning a self drive safari honeymoon and wish to explore Etosha National Park.
