Kwando Safaris' Kwando Concession still the destination for Wild Dog sightings
Guides at Kwando Safaris’ Lebala Camp recently announced the discovery of a Wild dog den site close to the camp. Reports are that a pack of 4 adult dogs have so far successfully raised a total of 9 pups to an estimated age of two and a half months. This has provided some spectacular sightings of dog/ puppy interaction and incredible photographic opportunities for Lebala guests and guides.
To add to the excitement, the Lagoon Camp alpha female has denned and has not been seen for a week now, although the rest of the pack are being seen almost daily. The den is just north of the airstrip, 15 minutes from camp. Guides and guests alike are anticipating the arrival of new pups in the coming weeks. These two events only reinforce Kwando Safaris wild dog reputation and making the Kwando concession one of the prime wild dog destinations in Africa.
