Africa is my home and the idea behind Encompass Africa is to bring to life childhood dreams of incredible journeys amongst Africa's famous wildlife and encounter inspiring experiences with her fabled tribes and people on a continent that for me is the most exciting, life changing destination on Earth.

Growing up in Africa, living, working, guiding and constantly experiencing so much Africa has to offer means each journey we create is based on a passion to design an African safari for independent minded, smart and savvy travellers who value trusted expertise and first hand 'on the ground' knowledge in a way that benefits Africa's wildlife, people and meets your exact aspirations in the same authentic way I have enjoyed and experienced Africa.

To spend time as a couple, group of friends or a family on a safari created just for you is the luxury of the experience. Our website is filled with an incredible amount of knowledge and inspiration for a first time safari to Africa, multi country journeys of a lifetime, exciting family safaris, romantic bush and beach honeymoons or a return visit to Africa getting off the beaten track for those safari Aficionados. By working directly with you and directly with the intimate camps and lodges in Africa we offer you an effortless and affordable way to experience an incredible African safari delivered perfectly on the ground by experts. 

We only specialise in safari holidays to East Africa (Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Uganda), Southern Africa (South Africa, Namibia, Swaziland, Lesotho, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi and Mozambique) and the Indian Ocean Islands (Mauritius, Seychelles and the islands off the East coast of Africa). Africa is vast, offers so much choice, complex logistics and is constantly changing. To be a true specialist requires real experience, passion and focussed knowledge.

Truth is, we deal essentially in experiences, not just holidays - more exciting and rewarding. For me, a safari is about the experience, sleeping under canvas, being in the company of expert guides, seeing Africa's wildlife first hand it's about seeking the intangible: a genuine experience as exhilarating, beautiful and mysterious as the African continent itself!

I've set up head office in Brisbane (I fell madly in love with an Australian whilst on safari) with a team of staff and we have a specialist also in Melbourne. We email, talk and skype with our guests from all over the world, not just Australia. That's the beauty about technology and also the nature of the travel industry these days.  We spend about 3-4 months of the year in Africa with our team often dotted across Africa seeking out new experiences and researching new developments to ensure we have the most up to date industry information to ensure you a wonderful African safari holiday.
